MATTEO GRAZIANI WINS THE 2ND STAGE AND LEADS THE GENERAL CLASSIFICATION

Matteo Graziani (the Team) climbs back to the top of the classification.

Matteo Graziani (the Team) climbs back to the top of the classification. First in the prologo of Lido di Camaiore, the pilot from Romagna, riding a Ktm, won the second stage, the Gavoi-Oristano, of 308 km (with a special of 108 km) of the Rally di Sardegna, trial of the Cross-Country World Championship. The clocked test between the mountains of the Oristanese, between Allai and Usellus, highlighted the great experience of Graziani, able to leave a specialist of the calibre of David Casteu nearly three minutes behind. Definitely the good Graziani of the old times, when he won the Sardegna 4 times in 1997 and 1998 and again in 2001 and 2002.

Now Graziani is again at the top of this 2007 Championship, held in a land he knows very well. Obviously he aims at the final victory which would enable him to move forward in the world classification, where he is now fourth thanks to his good test in Tunisia.

Moreover Graziani runs also for the Italian championship. And here it is truly difficult to find who can steal the titol from him.
